Forest Learning has released a range of engaging, curriculum-aligned resources to inspire classrooms and highlight the vital role of trees in our landscapes, farms, and communities. These free resources are designed in collaboration with teachers, peak education bodies, and forestry professionals to bring sustainability, forest science, and design thinking to life for students from primary to senior secondary.
Trees at Work on the Farm – Infographic
One of the latest additions is the Trees at Work on the Farm infographic – a student friendly, visual guide showing the many roles trees play in productive and sustainable farming. From providing shade and shelter for livestock to improving soil health, storing carbon, supporting biodiversity, and even diversifying farm income, this resource is an accessible introduction to agroforestry and integrated land management.
Ideal for Years 5–10 across Design and Technologies, Agriculture, Geography, Science, and HASS, the infographic can be printed as a classroom poster or used as a discussion starter during sustainability units. It showcases practical examples, including paddock windbreaks, stream side buffers, plantation rotations, and wildlife corridors.
