The Gippsland Forestry Hub, in partnership with the Green Triangle Forest Industries Hub, invites farmers, landholders, industry representatives and regional stakeholders to an online workshop showcasing the new Forestry Integration Tool (FIT).
FIT has been developed to help landholders explore plantation forestry and farm forestry opportunities through an accessible, data-driven platform. The tool provides practical insights into regulatory considerations, potential costs and revenues, and the key steps involved in establishing a forestry project.
During the one-hour online workshop, participants will:
- Learn about the purpose and development of the Forestry Integration Tool.
- See a live demonstration of FIT, including a practical case study.
- Provide feedback to help shape future development of the tool and discuss opportunities for its application across the region.
This workshop is an opportunity to better understand how forestry can be integrated into farming systems and how digital tools can support informed land management decisions.
